Throughout the regular season, Berkeley High School’s sports teams fight to earn a spot in postseason tournaments such as North Coast Section or West Alameda County Conference league championships. Girls volleyball made it into the NCS championships as the eighth seed out of 15.
Brothers Jackson and Jalen Harris have been star players this season on the football field. While being brothers who play together isn’t always easy, they say that the whole team is very connected.

Rally Day at Berkeley High School, recently synonymous with mayhem and violence, has been going on for longer than almost anyone can remember. But the day that closes off spirit week was not always full of the bottle-throwing and partying it’s now known for.
At the close of the 2021 fall season, Berkeley High School’s varsity football team finished with a 3-6 record. “The guys played really hard. We had the opportunity to win every game, even if it didn’t always go our direction,” said James Hodgins, head coach of varsity football.
