Students Strike to Demand Climate Change Action

By Jacket Photography Staff

On March 15th, thousands of students from all over the Bay Area headed to San Francisco to support the Green New Deal and demand action from leaders. Students congregated at Nancy Pelosi’s office, continued to march down Market Street and stopped at Diane Feinstein’s office building. Students wrote on post it notes and stuck them on the the glass exterior of the building. The notes emphasized the urgency of the issue and the lack of action taken. The group ended at Union Square where they held speeches from many different students activists. The strike was a representation of the power of the new generation.
