Writer
A writer is expected to attend lunch meetings every week and write one assigned article on your own time every 2 weeks while working closely with editors of a specific section.
Best for someone who has a passion for writing and wants to learn more about the amazing world of journalism!
Recommended but not required to have a strong foundation in writing.

Photographer
A photographer is expected to attend weekly lunch meetings and take exciting and engaging photos relating to your assignment. Photos are taken on your own time and you are expected to work closely with writers and editors to produce complimentary work.
Best for someone who has an eye for photography, is comfortable meeting new people, and is interested in how photojournalism can impact our community.
Recommended but not required to have a background in photography!

Illustrator
An illustrator is expected to attend weekly meetings, send in preliminary sketches and finished illustrations by their bi-weekly deadlines, and exchange critique with other illustrators. Illustrations demand journalistic style and visual coordination with subject matter. Illustrators must coordinate with writers or editors, and good communication is necessary.
Best for someone who has a passion for artistry and visual design, has stylistic integrity, and works well with others.
Background in visual art is strongly recommended but not required.

Video Team Member
A Video Team member is expected to attend weekly lunch meetings as well as film and edit videos to be posted on our Instagram once every 2 weeks.
Best for someone who is interested in video editing and production as well as community outreach!

Podcast Team Member
A podcast team member is expected to attend weekly lunch meetings and work with a small team to produce one episode every month. You will be responsible for generating ideas, conducting interviews with community members, writing scripts, and being a collaborative team member.
Best for someone who likes working in groups, is excited about journalism, and enjoys asking questions!
Experience in writing is recommended but not required.
