Writer

A writer is expected to complete an article every two weeks and attend weekly lunch meetings.

  • Best for someone who has an interest in writing and is communicative, passionate, and hardworking.

  • No previous writing or journalism experience required, but excitement is!

Illustrator

An illustrator is expected to complete a high-quality illustration every two weeks and attend weekly lunch meetings.

  • Best for someone who has an interest in art and is dedicated, creative, and passionate.

  • Previous art experience (whether digital or traditional) is preferred, but all levels of experience are welcome to apply.

Photographer

A photographer is expected to complete high-quality assignments every two weeks and attend weekly lunch meetings.

  • Best for someone who has an interest in photography and is creative, passionate, and communicative.

  • Previous photography experience is preferred, but all levels of experience are welcome to apply.

Podcast Team

A podcast team member is expected to attend weekly lunch meetings and participate in the production of a high-quality podcast every two weeks.

  • Best for someone who has previous experience with sound editing platforms

  • Previous sound engineering experience is preferred, but all levels of experience are welcome to apply.

Columnist

A columnist is expected to complete a total of six high-quality assignments on a topic of choice.

  • Best for someone who enjoys writing, but is hoping for more agency in the writing process.

  • No previous journalism experience required, but excitement is!

Copy

A copy team member is expected to aid in keeping the Jacket free of errors in spelling, grammar, and clarity and attend biweekly after school meetings.

  • Best for someone with attention to detail and a passion for language and accuracy.

  • Strong grasp of grammar, spelling and punctuation recommended.
